After the highly successful YoungGems® program last year, this program delivered as part of a partnership between GemStar, Multicultural Futures and City of Canning, is open to new applicants.
Each organisation is sponsoring places to the YoungGems® program. There is no charge to you or your business but you will need to commit to the time involved.
The YoungGems® program aims to empower diverse communities through entrepreneurship education, equipping participants with essential skills that are required to not only start and run a business, but that are also invaluable to any future workplace. This pilot program consists of six three hour sessions of sound and real-world entrepreneurial training experience.
Only people over the age of 18 of all abilities and/or from diverse backgrounds are eligible to apply for the program. Applicants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate support persons to allow them to fully engage in the program.
As part of the Canning Business Mentoring Program, YoungGems® will provide you a safe and nurturing environment to learn practical skills for your business.
Spaces are limited. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact on 1300 422 664 or business@canning.wa.gov.au or come along to the Canning Business Mentoring Program information session to meet with each of the program providers and find out more about what each program has to offer.
